Don't forget, after 1 year, they charge $5/month on your account. You say, "I'll close it!" Well, they gotcha by the balls now, cuz in order to get the extra 5% at the end, "your checking account and Way2Save account must be opened, linked, and in good standing at the time the bonus is credited."

It's "calculated on the 12 month anniversay of your enrollment in the program" so who knows when it will be credited. If it is credited a day after your anniversary, you're already charged the monthly fee.

The monthly fee can be avoided with "qualified transactions". What does that mean? Pin or signature based debit card transaction or online bill pay? If that's the case maybe it's not an issue... Anyone?

The reason that my wife shops at Costco is that she buys dry goods and freezable items there. This works because we get home and divide the loot into portions that we freeze or store. I had not considered the whole consuming more thing but after thinking about it we do not consume at a higher rate after shopping at costco. The reason that I shop at Costco is the fact that my HP laptop kicked the bucket one week after the manufacturer warranty expired......costco extends said warranty to 2 years (from the 1 year HP give you) and now my lappy is back in action. with the proper mindset it is possible to save money at costco, at the end of every year they send me a check that covers my membership fee.

There are three pieces of great advice I got from elderly folks about raising children. I pass them on as often as I can.

#1. From the very beginning teach them independence, Independence will end up running a parent a lot less money in the end. So at every turn with appropriate age given apron strings teach independence.
#2. Never give a child all that they wish for / this will only make them sad/ never give them all that you can afford / this will make you sad / as they get older and are off at college whatever bill or emergency that they say they have give them 1/3 of what they ask for they can get creative to come up with the rest themselves.( example 6 less beers next friday , sell my extra CD's etc...)
#3. Give true unconditional love even when they have been bad Do not confuse this with giving them things.
The world will not give them anything on a silver plater and if you are a great parent you will not either. Hang around one or two couples that make average income see what they do with the children and learn. This is also great for a kid to be around someone who has to work for a living and does not have the finer things in life. Enjoy them it goes fast and in the final words of grandma "Don't Blink" because they do grow up way to fast!

Think of the years in relation to the Holiday (Halloween) When they are younger than two they do not know what trick or treat is they don't know if you dress them up and frankly they are just way too frightened by it all. By the time they are twelve they are too old and too cool to go out trick or treating or Harvest Party or whatever you call it . So basically you have 10 days to enjoy playing dress up. 10 precious days to enjoy your child (that is what it feels like sometimes to be a parent and other times when they are small or sick or just being plain annoying 10 minutes feels like 10 years.) Frankly it is all precious all a delighted, all magical and wonderful and anyone who lives a life without enjoying a child has missed out in life. I am blessed to be able to say I am a parent!

How can this be illegal for the user? Its not illegal to buy a movie from someone who you believe has a legitimate service - and if it wasnt legal in Russia, it wouldnt be up and operating, right?

What IS illegal is to sell the movies. So some dude selling copies of DVDs on a streetcorner is a criminal, but the purchasers (assuming they did not know it was a stolen movie) are innocent of a criminal act. So ZML may be hit one day if the Russian Govt decides to comply with US copyright laws, but until then - feel free to download all you want.

Thats why P2P services can get you - you cant just download free stuff - you have to share your stuff.. and thats the illegal part.

Of course, the question of whether it is morally and ethically proper is something else.

I don't work at Starbucks, but I do work at a similar place. We also have to grind and tamp, and our pumps ARE a form of measurement (they are standardized). I also go out of my way to deliver drinks to sitting customers, especially the elderly-- I do lots of things waitresses get paid at least decent tips to do. I don't need a lot for a tip and I never expect it, but even your petty change is extremely appreciated by this college student. Minimum wage isn't exactly cushy living. I'm lucky if I get $2 in tips a shift. It's not that I suck. If I were being paid for all the compliments on quality, speedy, friendly, non-pretentious service I get I'd be living comfortably.

Frankly, if it were up to me, fast food slaves could also get tips. I've worked as one, and the average person can't even comprehend how badly they're treated. One time someone nice tried to tip me and my boss yelled at me right in front of the customer for even thinking of accepting it.

Yo Gabba Gabba is great viewing for toddlers. It delivers simple, repetitive, and colorful messages about proper behavior, hygiene, manners, social skills, etc... that young minds can absorb and repeat. The show encourages singing and dancing. They also make the show easy for adults to watch by inviting guest stars who are pop culture figures from the 80s and 90s (people mom and dad would be familiar with). They also make most of their music using 8 bit sounds you probably remember from your original nintendo system - another staple of the 80s and early 90s. I honestly don't get some of you people being critical of this show. You have either never watched it, or you're a rigid "linear thinker". By "linear thinker" I mean that for a show to make sense to you, it has to follow a plotline. This show is theme based, not plot based. There is a central theme in every episode (that is announced at the beginning of each episode) that all of the games, dances, songs, cartoons, and activities emphasize. I hope that explanation helps some of the people here get over some of their prejudices and let their kids watch this show - because after all, the show is for them, not you. Toddlers are lateral (zig-zag) thinkers. Don't believe me? Sit a 30 month old down and try to get him to watch your favorite disney movie from beginning to end. If he lasts 5 minutes without trying to get up and do something else, then he's on ritalin. Bad example? How about a 48 piece puzzle. I can almost guarantee you he will be bored with it 60 seconds after you dump the pieces out of the box. Yo Gabba Gabba has snippits that rarely last more than 2.5 minutes, so they have a better chance at holding your kid's attention. This show is specifically for toddlers, and in that category, it's one of the best shows out there. As far as the "party in my tummy" thing goes - yeah, it's wacky, but so are kids, and it reinforces that you should eat your veggies... and does it in a fun, non-authoritative way. Most parents would welcome help in this form. It's not mind- numbing, it's attention-holding, and it attempts to teach kids the things they should be learning at that age.

I find Sams to be a waste of time.. buying there is great for people who own small businesses or have large families. Most of the crap I'd buy would go bad before I'd use it unless it was something I could freeze perhaps.

I also think paying a membership takes a big chunk out of your savings if you don't visit a lot. Which you won't unless you're one of the top two examples or you're just 'saving money' on crap you didn't need in the first place. I'll go to Wal-mart instead, and pay the extra two cents for my green beans.
