Rough Ridin' The Costs Of The Eliot Spitzer Mess.

It's time for another Sexual Sundays!

For your consideration: Rough Ridin' The Costs Of The Eliot Spitzer Mess.

When something like the Eliot Spitzer mess hits the airwaves there's always a cost and a profit to be made. The Money Kings have been talking to people for the last two weeks about this story, and we thought it might be time to do a quick Sexual Sundays post about infidelity, politics, the law, hookers, media and MONEY.

For the record, we feel that if politicians break the law, they should go to jail. No passing GO. No collecting $200 bucks. Now that that's over . . .

Let's get back to our take on what it really costs when a state governor decides to go on a multi-year high-priced ho binge.

The obvious costs:

  1. Himself. Nothing like ruining your reputation and possibly going to jail after spending all that study time at Princeton and Harvard just to drop below the bottom rung through shameful resignation. Seriously, why spend all the time and money going through all that school, just to screw it up, because you can't keep your wick dry. Former Gov. Spitzer: You're definitely NOT a Money King. Then again! The former governor is from a wealthy family. The Money Kings can guarantee you, friends, that when you're born with money vs. making it on your own, you have a TOTALLY different outlook on life. But, we digress . . .
  2. His Wife. This might actually NOT be a cost. (This part's for the younger, unmarried readers out there). Some couples have "arrangement" (cough, cough) that allow for the sort of thing in which Spitzer was involved to operate within marriage. The fact that the media reports his wife "supporting" him, might indicate one of these (cough, cough) "arrangements." Even so, she still has to carry the title of "the wife of that governor caught with the hookers" for the rest of her life. The Money Kings can't imagine that this moniker will garner her much in the way of self-respect.
  3. His Family. Now they've all just lost that cushy government pension! Maybe they're ashamed of their father, maybe their not. What about all that free estate money coming their way during Eliot's senior years. It's probably worth millions invested over time and passed on from generation to generation.

The not-so obvious costs:

  1. Taxpayers Yeah! Didn't forget this one, did you? While the media is having a field day with this Dupre girl and the sex and all the rest of it, our tax dollars have been going to bust up this prostitution ring and identify the perps, pimps and johns, etc., etc. The cops are doing their jobs, and we thank them for it. The system is working. But now, we have to pay even more! We already paid a hypocrite to hold office, and now we'll have to prosecute him . . . Millions and millions gone.
  2. Idiots There's book deal for this Dupre girl somewhere, and think of all the idiots that are going to pay $29.99 hardcover to hear her story. Not to mention the folks paying to download her music off the net. Sex sells, and it's working for her.
  3. Our Government Things like this Spitzer mess do much to harm our way of life. The Money Kings guarantee that all kinds of time and money will be spend on damage control within the Democratic party and plotting and planning on the part of Republicans. Who wins when scandal takes over? Consultants, lawyers, media, publishers, that's who. Our governmental system doesn't look so rosy after something like this . . .

What have we learned about saving and making money from something like the Spitzer case?

1) When a state governor lies and breaks the law (FORGET WHAT IT'S FOR), then we all pay for it. We pay to prosecute, track, build cases and then re-elected/swear in new officials jarred by dismay and disbelief.

2) If you can manage to not go to jail, then you can A) Have some good sex with hot prostitutes, B) Do it on the tax payer dime, C) Get caught and gain tons of exposure for yourself and your family, and D) Sell lots of music online and maybe get a book deal!

The US is certainly an interesting country. Try making efficient use of your money with this kind of crap picking your pockets . . .

Encourage someone to spend their time wisely out there.

Legalize it. We have

Legalize it. We have alcohol, gambling and smoking, why not prostitution? Simple as that. It wouldn't clear Spitzer of wrongdoing, but it brings the issue to the limelight.
