We’re not kidding folks. The following are actually scenarios that The Money Kings have had to deal with regarding water services from Aqua America (the so-called largest publicly traded water company in American) in a variety of towns:

1. Operators that barely speak English.—Yeah! Not the customers! The people working there . . .
2. Operators that will not fix your problem because “They’re not authorized” to do so. Aqua will play phone games just like your tenants!
3. Water bills coming to your home months after you’ve sold your unit(s).
4. Constant headaches and re-calling to Aqua’s offices to double-check if service is in you name when it should be, and is conversely out of your name when it should be in the name of your tenants.
5. Constant headaches and re-calling to Aqua’s offices to double-check if service is even in your name at all after your initial purchase!
6. Service technicians turning off your water service when you don’t ask and are current with your bills.
7. Service technicians turning off your water service when they think they’re turning off someone else’s.
8. Wasting more time calling Aqua to get them to turn on your water service again after they’ve mistakenly turned it off.
9. Of course, wasting more time waiting for Aqua to come to your unit to turn on the water since they refuse to do it without the owner being present.
10. And finally, basically having to interact with Aqua twice for every one time you need anything from them, because you can never be sure that they’ll do as they promise the first time around. If you call in the morning and tell them to switch the service to your name, because you’ve just purchased the unit, plan on calling them in the afternoon to repeat to them everything you already said in the morning. In fact, to save time and sanity, you should type what you’re going to say to Aqua each time you plan on calling them so you can simply read the same thing to them over and over again. Eventually, they’ll get it right—maybe.
